Welcome to the Powys Ponies Website.

The Powys Stud as it is now known was established in 1978. We strive to breed quality Welsh Mountain Ponies, true to type, with movement to excel in all disciplines.

The Stud is situated in the South East of The Netherlands, very close to Motorway A67 (Antwerpen to Germany) in the village of Lierop, in the province Noord Brabant. We are on the edge of the Strabrecht Moor.

Currently our Stud consists of seven brood mares, two two-year old fillies, a yearling filly, a three year old colt, a two year old colt, a yearling colt and a seven year old stallion. Of them we leased out three brood mares, a three year old colt and a seven year old stallion. A yearling colt and a two year old colt are in the North of this country to stay for the winter and the following summer. Our 2010 foals are by Powys Sant and our 2011 foals will be by Lacy Jaffa.
