Welcome to the Powys Ponies Website.
The Powys Stud as it is now known was established in 1978.
Through Rhydyfelin and Lacy bloodlines our Stud is even today, mainly based on
the classic bloodlines from North Wales.
The Stud is situated in the South East of The Netherlands, very close to
Motorway A67 (Antwerpen to Germany) in the village of Lierop, in the province
Noord Brabant. We are on the edge of the Strabrecht Moor.
Currently there are five brood mares at the Stud, three foals, a two year old
filly, a two year old colt and a five year old stallion. The foals in 2009 will
be by IJsselvliedts Super Ted, who very sadly died recently, as a three year old.

De Powys Stud is opgezet in 1978. Via Rhydyfelin en Lacy bloedlijnen is onze
Stud, ook nu nog vooral gebaseerd op de
klassieke bloedlijnen van Noord Wales.
De Stud is in het Zuid-Oosten van Nederland gelegen, dichtbij de autoweg A67, (Antwerpen-
Duitsland) in het dorp Lierop, op de rand van de Strabrechtse Heide in de
Provincie Noord Brabant.
Momenteel zijn er vijf fokmerries in de Stud, drie veulens, een tweejarige
merrie, een tweejarige hengst en een vijfjarige hengst. De veulens van 2009
zullen van IJsselvliedts Super Ted zijn, helaas is hij onlangs, pas drie jaar
oud, overleden.
